OK Cunning - wordy theory re seats given on Wanderlust thread.
But...
We had a similar experience at Brizzle - 1300 tickets offered which went in minutes - and I can understand from the perspective of "home atmosphere" but a) there were loads of empty spaces in their bit - which we would have filled given the opportunity and b) the fans are concerned about the financial situation - and every ticket they sell to us puts money in their coffers.
Surely it's not beyond the wit of man to match the seating to the anticipated demand, especially if your ground is a key asset that needs working if you ain't rolling in money?
And as mentioned on the other thread, this isn't the 70s with running battles anymore so the "policing" argument wears a bit thin.
OK footie fans aren't like rugby fans where fans are largely integrated but football clubs need the money and it bugs me that filling seats isn't priority number 1.
