I understand that loan players contributed a great deal last season but equally, the strategy is hurting us this season as we search for replacements for people like Kamara, etc. Also, I understood the Eisner strategy was to bring in young promising players, develop them and add to their value for OUR benefit. Instead, we develop other teams players so that they secure the financial benefit. Loans have a part to play but we need to have our own players. I can see us looking at further loans for Robertson and Anjorin next and good as they may be, if we go down that route, we look only at the short term which seems at odds with all the Eisner family preach. I still say we need a stronger base of permanent signings.
Do you mean getting a loan player to replace Kamara who was also a loan? . Those posters suggesting we need to spend , you do realise a free isn’t really a free, they still command a wage - in some cases more than what they maybe would've earned if a transfer fee was involved.
Just for arguments sake say PFC have a transfer kitty of £15m for this season, wages have to come out of that and say £7.5K a week for a freebie ( which is nowhere near a top championship salary) is approx 400k a year and that’s for only one average player.
