So going off half-cocked at Pompey seems a little OTT. But some people do like to complain without any of the facts to hand. Ticketmaster shut down a phone line, outside our control. Late announcement of capacity, outside our control. H&S clampdown on previously OK seating, outside our control.
The CEOs wife was in to help out at the ticket office as they were short staffed due to illness/isolating. The CEO was doubtless doing everything to sort it he could.
If you can suggest any way the club could have done better as well as all the other clubs in similar positions then do please share. Don't just dismiss a reasonable explanation. Did you actually read it?
Whatever their issues were, all of Oxford, Sunderland and Wednesday had crowds bigger then their pre-Covid averages.
In the entire EFL only Birmingham suffered more at the gate than Pompey.
