Wow. Who'd a thunk it ;-)

Well well another late show. Well done Jacobs / curtis
07-01-2022, 09:22 PM
History repeats as Curtis proves to be the spark !
07-01-2022, 09:23 PM
That is really quite extraordinary coincidence

Always said we were class

That was a Get out of Gaol card well played….and we collect £20,000 instead of £200 (does that double Cowley’s transfer budget).
Surely we will be much better at Cambridge on Tuesday than last week.

Shows the game was important for Curtis at least

Deja vu all over again! Decent 1st half, carp 2nd half until the late late show. Good to see Curtis score a couple. Hopefully gets him firing in front of goal again

Gosh...

Bit hard on Exeter. At least they did a good job of confirming how crap some of our players are. Please add Azeez to the list of players to bin off this month. For someone with such supposed talent I’ve not seen him light up any of the games he’s played in. We should be able to use that loan space better.
And, for anyone who was bothered about winning they’ll be thankful Curtis took the ball off Hackets toes at the end to shoot - sure as shit he’d have missed. I suspect that match just cemented what Cowley must already know about the skill, drive and end product of some of our squad.

I'm not quite sure what's happened to Morrell but this doppelgänger is a pile of c**p. Just pay Marquis off, he's diabolical.
Fair play to the supporters who travelled on a Friday night, the 2nd half performance bar the last 5 mins was utterly pathetic. Some of these players need a kick up the arse or fucked off out of the club. I like Curtis, he's got passion and you can see he cares. Azeez has not shown anything so get rid. Sign a pair of strikers and a decent midfielder. In other words Mr Eisner, stick your short arm in your long pockets and give us a team to be proud of.

Morrell is one of those who had Covid I suspect so is probably still feeling the effects. So its great we're having games that he can get back up to speed in before MKD.

So where does that leave Jacobs? Still an 'impact sub'? Don't tell me about problems fitting him in to the left. The team needs to fit around HIM. He had energy and drive as soon as he came on, won a clever free-kick in exactly the place where he wanted it and delivered the perfect deadball in for Curtis to do the rest.
And don't talk to me about not fitting in with DC's style. What the feck IS his style? Does anyone know? Have we seen any evidence of it? Jacobs is the key to this team if anyone has the nous to use him properly. Agree with comments above about Azeez. Was watching his movement across the field last night and yes, he covers a lot of grass but his contribution to anything going forward was scant. Hirst also, I'm afraid, has to go and can take Marquis with him. Everyone behind that goal groaned when he missed that chance in the six-yard box in the second half. Didn't tell us anything we didn't already know. |
