If it were in his contract and DC was happy to give another club say over his team selection then that falls at his door.

Swanson seems like a very good signing from what I've seem of him but as inexperienced as he is, we will have to manage his game time too! Freeman looked ok. It would be entertaining if Freeman and Tunnicliffe end up as first team regulars. It turns out that Swanson can push forward. Did Cowley tell him not to last game?

You don't normally leave your most expensive player on the bench in case you're Man Utd then only 1 game!

Hirst was earning twice any other player last year - more than Scarlett, but that did not make DC play him until he was ready.
Scarlett has been playing because he played so well in his first half a dozen games. That reason alone. His wages would not even be a consideration, especially when half of them will be being paid by Spurs.

And Pigott looks like a bloke who knows whatever he does, he's not going to get in the league starting X1. The odd 5 minutes here and there really isn't going to keep you motivated.

Had 90 last night but unfortunately didn’t enhance his chances with a lacklustre display

But if scoring a hat trick v Chelsea side doesn't make any difference to your prospects, why would a performance in the pizza cup. Like with Bass a mom performance doesn't get you picked for the next game. Can't really expect players to be motivated if the pecking order is carved in stone.

It wont make any difference to Josh Oluwayemi .Griffiths is in goal against Hereford.
