If Rafferty is going to be out for a while then I think we should ‘loan’ a right back. Or go to 352

Or go to 352 I don't think there is any sign of Rafferty being long term - hopefully he will be back on Saturday. But we missed him badly last night. The three at the back formation did not work, mainly because Shaughnessy looked a bit lost on the right of it.

I'm glad we seem to have replaced Poole at last. Not going up with Shaugnessy & Raggs unfortunately.

Yeah we are and Bolton have 3 games in hand. The way we play has changed since Poole became injured, we're far too ponderous and slow. Did you watch the game last night?

Hi folks another Carlisle fan here in peace.
If you do sign Moxon you have probably one of the best midfielders outside the Championship, great in the tackle, raking passes, fantastic awareness, box to box, good shot on him and great at dead ball situations, and he is one of the only players I've seen in a Carlisle shirt for donkeys years that can literally take a game by the scruff of the neck and turn it into a match winning situation. ........................However, unfortunately that was last season. This season he's looked nowhere near the entity he was last, seems to get closed down very quickly always seems to turn into trouble, gone are the vicious dead ball situations and the raking passes. He was being touted about as the next million pound player in the summer, a move for one reason or another never came. And to rub salt in United's fans wounds he wouldn't sign a new much improved contract, (despite his claims that he is a Carlisle fan at heart). Now whether this is all because he's found the step up 'too much' or his head has been turned by his agent (who incidentally was his manager when he was on our books when he was a kid, who then released him????), or he simply wants to play at a higher level, (which personally I don't blame him) although I think he could, and should have been much more open about it than he has! Anyway if he does sign for you lot then its going to make a very interesting day next Saturday at Brunton Park, his first away day in a Pompey shirt. Best of luck apart from next Saturday of course.

Yep.
I have to say I don’t like Raggett in the middle of a three. We know he isn’t as comfortable on the ball as some so why place him in a position where his concentration has to be on both sides. He’s comfortable enough with short passing and he can pick out a long pass that rivals some of Packs (and he produced another one last night). I thought we suffered last night from a lack of through balls to the midfield, bypassing their press. Mind on some occasions when it did go through, Pack certainly didn’t look comfortable receiving it. Both of their goals coming from our attacking positions with our defence further up the pitch. They ended up having to back pedal at full pace, a nightmare situation. We caught in possession twice (the first by an injured Oxford player on the fucking ground!). In fact there was another occasion when we were very very fortunate to get away with it. The defence wasn’t at its best but I felt the real problems were further up the pitch. I thought Oxford were very good on the break, probably the best on the break that we’ve seen this season. Yeah Bolton have got three games in hand. I doubt they’ll get maximum points though. One win puts them level but they have to play us yet so we’ve just got to keep on top of it and make sure we beat them. We are a better side than them.

60 pts from 30 games despite not always looking like a top of the table outfit. Puts us on course for 92 pts which should see us 2nd I would think so we have to keep plugging away. Morrell injury sounds like a major worry. We would miss him big time I think.

Sounds like we have run the race for moxon

Its doing the rounds up here that Moxon is a Pompey player.
Probably best for both CUFC and Moxy

Down here for a medical today apparently.
I wonder if that would have happened if Morrell had not got injured ? If not, it makes it a very expensive injury.

He’s been at Hilsea all day apparently.
