Thanks, I did n't realise Benham had put so much into the club, guess even with a shrewd transfer policy some hefty investment is needed to reach the Premiership.

You DO seem obsessed by facilities Jiz, what attracted you to Fratton Park in the first place? Was it the football or the facilities? I can’t say facilities entered my head as a young fan.

Would be fantastic if we could get a win against Sunderland.
FP will be rocking, and yes that'll put spirit into the players.

No of course ex, but other than a new Fratton end with a narrow concourse hardly anything has changed in 50 years other than chucking seats on the terraces. The catering is diabolical, not that it worries me because I rarely use it. I just thing we need to an up to date stadium to see us through the next 50 years. Fratton Park isn't exactly user friendly. Take away old gits like us I wonder how many youngsters actually go on a regular basis.

I see quite a few youngsters at FP as it happens. I doubt they come on here though where the average age seems to be about 139…..

I'm not that old. There are lots of youngsters at FP and the facilities do need upgrading/modernising.

I agree with Foxleyblue that a really good, winning performance against Sunderland with a rocking Fratton Park would be a real tonic, Sunderland are my key ‘love to hate’ L1 club which would make it doubly delightfull.
Won’t be easy though, from watching EFL on Quest, Blunderland look a decent side but, of course, the highlights may be misleading…..but their Top of the league position probably isn’t !

It's a toss up between what's worse, the football on show or the facilities lol
If we can get to the end of the season and show consistently improved performances from the team (i.e. stringing some passes together along the deck, playing well for longer than one half, removal of defensive clangers, etc) I'd say this year will have been a 'success'

I love Fratton Park. But going to MK for the first time did make me wonder about how much more money could be made to spend on the team with a stadium like that. And the catering was at a completely different level, more expensive but worth it.
