Former Liverpool and England striker Daniel Sturridge has signed for Australian club Perth Glory for the 2021-22 season.
The 32-year-old had been without a club since leaving Turkish club Trabzonspor in March 2020.
Without a club since March 2020?
I have no idea whether we did look at him or not. If we did, then probably could not afford the wages or if he would have dropped to league 1, but certainly it would have been worth a try?
I have watched Perth Glory play and others in the A league and the level is probably at best league 2.
So its more likely the money they are paying him rather than the level.
Right now we definitely need someone who can score goals.
