Tactically inept, hugely out of their depth, playing a depressing variant of Jacketball with as few as possible shots on target as possible more like !
Surely the trades descriptions act should be involved
Tactically astute in certain aspects of the game(tactical time outs and verbally attacking the 4th official) with the majority of their experience gained mainly in non league.
Two years managing in pro football(one at lincoln(ran out the back door, whilst under contract) and one at Huddersfield (sacked) where very little "entertaining football" was ever played.
Post Huddersfield they were pretty much on the dole, fading out of football and with a reputation for hoofball lots of owners wouldn`t even interview them for work until Mickey got sucked in by Team Cowley gobbledegook and installed them as head coaches.
Little due diligence was done by either party when striking a contract(cowleys hadn`t realised EISNER was running the club on a reduced cost base and DC oversold his pro football success (one promotion in professional football) totally enabled by a generous owner at Lincoln who later needed to cut his costs by 40% to make the club viable once again post Cowley.
Don`t believe the hype and don`t get caught up in the emotion, make your own analysis using the facts.
Check it out on the pitch, are the players giving 100% and playing for the manager and do we have an identifiable pattern of play?
Medium term i predict Pompey will be treading water and probably our league position will show us still sitting in league three for quite a few seasons, possibly flirting with the play offs on the odd occasion but not able to compete with other sides in the division who like to spunk their dosh.
"sold a pup" yes in my opinion.
