Danny probably had a fall out with him but he needs to mend that asap as he needs Jacobs more than Jacobs needs Danny.
I don't understand why some people think he shouldn't be playing. If you watch the games, he is the only player who looks like he has a plan and can put the ball where he wants.
Its all very well having players who run around a lot but none of the existing crop seem to be able to nudge a ball past a player by wrongfooting them or look up and pick out a man to cross to. They rely on physicality and luck and it goes wrong more often than not, whereas Jacobs is very delibarate with what he does.
I hope this helps explain why jacobs is so important and is head & shoulders above the other options available in the squad.
I think he should be playing at the moment because he seems to have hit a vein of form, but the fact remains that when he has started games in the past he has not found form consistently (much better when coming on as sub) and yes, his attitude has been shocking in some of the mickey mouse cup games he has been played in when he has not looked interested. Fair enough, he may have a right to be pissed off and think the competition is below him but when you get a rare opportunity to play surely you should bust a gut to impress and make a case for inclusion. He didn't. He has now, with his performances as a sub.
