Of all the scummer wums on this site Fred is the most obvious and the least well disguised.

To be fair, it is quite easy to wind us up at the moment. Not a lot to be excited about on the pitch.
DC does seem to be able to get the best out of players (walker being the exeption) but that is only good if you have some continuity in the squad. It's a complete rebuild this summer, and the way the contracts are expiring next year, it looks like that will also be a total rebuild.

This brick by brick rebuilding doesn't really work with the playing squad if you don't at some stage lay some foundations.

Danny Cowley is moonlighting as Heather Watson's coach atm, that may be a factor

He shouldn't have been given the job after he failed that 'trial period' he was given last year, and the club has only gone backward since. Jackett had to go, but this was the best alternative available to us??? Name me another manager (that isn't similarly inexperienced) who would sign up for us and then put up with the restrictions that the Eisner's impose on them. DC transformed the careers of 2 players and improved the career of one other, it shows that DC is able to identify targets that other clubs failed to spot. From mid January until the end of the season we scored 3 or more goals in every home game, with the likes of Robertson starting to show their promise. Im not his greatest fan, but when you're swimming in krap what do you expect to be stuck with when you get out. But the fault lies mainly at the feet of the Eisner's here in my opinion. 1, Last May, they supervised the wholesale break-up of our academy structure without adequately replacing them. They still haven't. 2, They allowed or failed to discourage the break up our first team - again without any active plans to replace them beforehand. It still hasn't been fully addressed. 3, They attempted to mitigate the first team withdrawals with embarrassing mega-trials of players nobody else wanted. They still failed to fill the team 4, Their inept actions resulting in a team being hastily assembled as the season began at the last minute. 5, They also make complete hash of coaching appointments that ambitious clubs require. 6, As the season progresses, they show limited interest in team strenthening and more on buying a gym. 7, This season they do the same thing as the last one by showing little interest in keeping players, and even less in replacing them. 8, See "Point 4". Yet again we are waiting for key replacements heading into the preseason and fails starting a new one with unfit players who aren't familiar with their teammates and not settled. It's no coincidence that Hirst only really started firing in late December when he knew his teammates. 9, This time, instead of Roko, they are protecting their investment by making a conversion job. Even now, all their actions would allow them to profit from a sale at anytime. So yet again, we're playing catch up. I don't think DC is god but he isn't god awful. He's got to explain all of this to us (coz the Eisner's and their CEO puppet are not going to) and expect us to still buy season tickets. Having seen first hand how little the owners view promotion, I'm actually quite calm about things. DC was appointed because he was cheap and will take the heat. I'm fully expecting by the first game to have 15 or so core players and for the team to exist comfortable in mid table whilst the Eisner's hope for somebody to take us off their hands. I just don't see the point of Eisner buying us. They barely even see us play. Sorry for long post.

I’ve given up fairly early in your post but it sounds like you want the Eisners to directly scout and sign players and not the manager?

Lawrence talks a lot of sense. If you are going to be an absent owner, you need to spend more on having more capable management.
Either become more hands on to push the club forward or fork out on a proper management framework. Doing neither ends you up where we are. Drifting into another season set up for failure before it even begun.

I belive Cullen was appointed because of his construction project management experience. I don't recall mk dons doing well in the transfer market when he was there.
Management like a proper DoF, scouting network, academy manager. Currently our Management are not very good at recruitment. Each year it has been a struggle under the eisners.

You don't have to,you've only got to look at the progress of MK Dons since Cullen moved here. Coincidence or not?

Tactics on the other hand a whole different story!. Unless the plan was to bore us to death.... |
