Get Richardson in!!

the cricket commentators frequently comment on how players are always seen as far better when they are out of the team than when they are in it.
Ditto managers?

Is it time for a change?

I do now think another coach would get more from this squad.
Cowley has a touch of the Graham Rix to him: can spot a player, players love him, tactically inept.

I would be on the phone to Richardson now, but Eisner won't have a scoobie who he is.

It feels a bit like the Eisners probably go weeks at a time without remembering they own a 'soccer' team on the other side of the planet. Then they see an email from Cullen in their inbox and go 'who? Oh yeah! That thing. I'll read that email at some point' before tucking into their hamburgers and soda and tuning into the baseball.
I'm not expecting intervention any time soon.

We don't need a coach, we need an old fashioned manager who bosses the squad and leaves coaching to the coaches.

Pompey need an early years Brian Clough type of manager. There’s absolutely zero chance of that happening.

I left perfectly good low hanging fruit with "touch of" on that previous post and not one of you disappointing coonts capitalised upon it! Lol

feels a lot like the times after Jim Smith et al
when we had fenwick, Gregory, Rix and the rest full of technical ideas and not a clue how to manage players

Gregory had no idea how to manage for sure (shirt and ties for players to wear to training is one I recall). They said on Solent when we last won a league game at home the Queen was alive and Boris was P.M. ffs

That seems along time ago, even longer when I recall standing in that Queue just behind Becks

Why the clamour for Richardson. I know he got Wigan up but what was the style of football? We need someone with more than 5 mins of championship experience or success.

We need someone with more than 5 mins of championship experience or success. It has appeared that Richardson was the main driving factor behind Cookie's success. He's had 2 seasons at championship level and knows the lower leagues. He's achieved more than any of the managers we've had in the last 10 years, so why not go for him? From memory, he was pushing cook to go for 352

Apparently MK Dons want to speak to Richardson about their vacant role.

We have a vacant manager if they would like to speak to him too
