So the old St John’s college playing fields are back on the market.
Cullen says that any acquisition will need to be future proofed and not limit the academy to category 3 status. If Pompey had plans approved to build a new ground there 30 years ago there shouldn't be any problems building indoor facilities. Plus there’s room for a good few full size pitches so on the face of it it looks promising.
Apparently because of the Geese it still can’t be developed for anything other than recreational purposes so perhaps won’t be many in the queue to buy.
