Just watched the highlights, Swanson got the ball, it was clear.
There was a coming together in the build up to the disallowed goal, 6 of one, half a dozen of the other, offside doesn't come into it as the player didn't touch the ball.

We were robbed, should have been 2-1 to us. Fucking useless officials.

The officials must judge if the player without the ball is involved in the play in some way — for example, by challenging for the ball or, say, obstructing the goalkeeper's vision. In that case, the player would be judged offside despite not having touched the ball.

Yeah, I don’t think the lino gave offside. He reckoned Scarlett fouled the defender. Didn’t raise his flag for a while though. Bar steward

The ref awarded an indirect kick so could only have been given for obstruction (definitely not) or offside. Suggestion seems to be that Scarlett was offside on the original ball through but I agree with other comments that he didn't look offside

Not sure if there's such a thing as an in direct free kick anymore.

Ah ok I thought all freekicks were now direct and the ref was only raising his arm as a show of indication of postion.

Only recently watched & totally agree. Their first goal had a fluke deflection off another player otherwise miss by a mile!

Swanson won the ball cleanly & any incident was outside the area so free kick at worst.

No foul in the lead up play 50:50 challenge & a legitimate goal as No offside flag & No V.A.R.!

To be totally fair as we could have been 4-1 down so a 2-2 draw would have been the right result.

Extremely poor refeering yet again & 4th official had No idea!
