I thought it was Poole

A few thoughts on today, in no particular order:
* The old girl looks in good shape (as always at the beginning of the season) * Milton End looks good now, not sure how it will be divided when the opposition don't bring many fans * Norris was "OK", good kicker, couple of good saves and one mare. * Too much pussy footing at the back trying to play pretty football - get the friggin' ball up field 75% of the time and make sure we win 2nd ball. There's a time and a place for Baz-type play but Norris ain't Baz. * We've got two good RBs and one good LB * Poole looks class at R-CB and probably a definite starter. Jury's out on Shaunessy. Towler played well when he came on and should be starting L-CB * Ogilvie was almost back to his best * Pack was sounds as always and fought for everything. Morrell too, but his temper is still going to be an issue. * Lowery didn't do much * Scully looks useful, ditto White * Bishop worked hard but not much end product * The others who came on 2nd half were "OK" but no more (yet) * City supporters deserve credit for plenty of singing. They gave nice welcome to Towler when he came on. * Our support was embarrassingly quiet - I've never heard it so quiet (is that a paradox?) * JM was extremely quiet on the touchline. Is that a bad omen? * Finally - Raggett. I've been one of his biggest supporters, but in his 20 min cameo today he had two mares. Suspect he knows he's going to lose his place. I'd still want him beside me in a war though.

Raggett is probably the sort of player who will end up starting a lot of games as others get injured, or they get caught out playing from the back and so forth.
At the end of the day, our defence was not what prevented us winning games last season, hopefully we can score first in a few more games this time around.
