So, a team that has beaten us this side of summer and a team that hasn’t concedes in the last three games.
An excellent chance for the backup boys to shine.

The bass player in Metallica can't be any worse than Schofield, who looks like proof that not everything Richard Hughes touches turns to gold. Fair enough when he shops in the bargain basement, but with increased crowds etc etc I think the reserve keeper position needs looking at urgently.

Schofield is having a shocker. Not his fault for being put at risk but he really inspires no confidence.
Towler isn’t exactly shining either. Devlin has had an awful first 30 mins and his head was definitely bowed after the second goal. Has looked better since. Wimbledon are stalking Saydee and he’s obviously regarded as a danger because he’s seldom one on one. Hume doing the business and an excellent cross for the goal.

Towler has been so nervy and indecisive. Not a good audition for him at all. He has looked like a player lacking confidence this season which is why I suggested a loan move for him. Ok he's in a bit of a makeshift back line but he should still be looking better than the right back filling in at centre back at minimum.
Devlin has given the ball away for fun. Yengi has scored but everything else has bounced off of him. Schofield doesn't look like he could save on his car insurance on comparethemarket.com. Basically nit a very good half. Can only get better second half.

It's Scully time. Martin must only still be on because Mousinho has forgotten he was on the pitch.

Well that was a load of crap.
Schofield. So dodgy. 4 Hume. A couple bright spells and then one of the biggest wasters of the ball. 6 Towler. Frightened of his own shadow, though he actually didn’t do much wrong. 6.5 Rafferty. Out of position but a class above. 7.5 Swanson. Better than Hume…just. 6.5 Devlin. The reverse Midas touch. 5.5 Stevenson. Not so bad. 6.5 Martin. Actually showed some good touches, including a great passes. Still generally looks like he gets a nosebleed when he’s got too much time. 6.5 Saydee. No peace on the ball. 6.5 Yengi. Another goal and worked hard. 7 Whyte. Great goal and worked hard. 6.5 Scully. Looks threatening, if slightly rusty. 7 Jewitt white. Ok…..then a mistake 6 Bish. An attempt on goal but not enough time or service. 6 Mottoh. Positive but not quite there. 6 Conclusion Sell Hume. Get rid of Martin. Get another keeper.

Do you remember Harry saying, "...and he wonder's why he's not in the first team?"
After a ball hit him in the back of the head. But it could apply to almost every player on the pitch tonight.

The scores in the news are pretty much spot on, starting with 2 for the keeper.
"stinking" "Appalling" Can't recall his getting that upset for a very long time.

It could easily have been 5 nil to them after 30 minutes. We continually tried to play out from the back, often passing centrally to Devlin or Stevenson who had two men on them and just made mistake after mistake. There's no point trying to play like Man City from the back if you haven't got the players. Pack and Morrell can more or less deal with what comes their way and it works but last night it obviously wasn't working yet we continued to do it and got caught out at least five times.
Hey ho, just another blip hopefully and it was the stiffs. Scully came out of it pretty well and will be great to have him back in contention. I hope Devlin and Towler's confidence hasn't taken too great a blow as they both had stinkers, especially first half. Any news on Swanson or why Yengi went off? Poor old Lowery, picked up another knock in training it seems.

Would appear to have been a pre determined change to get Scully on.
