Go back in and get Sam smith on the cheap or a pacy physical striker.

This is a non event, it ain’t happening. Some twat posted his rumour on a Pompey website and now it’s made its way here. There’s less than a week left of the current TW, so if this rumour was to be true then I’m sure JM & RH would have a replacement sorted , bearing in mind that they would be allowed to spend the money in the first place. Besides all that it would need the 3 clubs to be in agreement ( us, Millwall, and the club we’d be buying from) and the players would want to go. If all this was to be true I’m astonished that there hadn’t been any real leaks to the press (internet or otherwise).
IMO it’s load of old bollocks. As I've said before I do not have first hand evidence (how could I ?) but the fact that it was being regarded as abuse rather than criticism came from comments from someone who is usually right about things at the club. But for me the supporting evidence is the fact that Bishop said it was bad enough for team mates to point it out to him (which made him realise 'Oh, it must be bad'), and was bad enough for him to call it 'slander' rather than just criticism in his interview, and we all saw that it was bad enough to make him not want to celebrate a very good goal, totally out of character. That last fact alone is evidence that this was not just the ordinary stick that players expect. Another telling phrase in the interview was when he said he always gives 100% and always will 'whilst I am here'. I may be reading too much into that but that to me is the sort of phrase people use when they are thinking of moving on. There was never any sign of him being unhappy before. So I suppose it is mostly theory, but with enough evidence to support it to make it a valid discussion point.

Bishop is a good striker for this level, and if he went now, I would hope we would we get 1.5 million for him.
We could then buy Jonson Clarke Harris and another good attacker. Would love Devante Cole here but Barnsley wouldn't sell.

We’d have soon been pointed to whatever was said and where it originated from.

As I mentioned elsewhere, Bishop did the same thing last year when he scored against Bolton. I seem to remember he hadn't scored for about 3 games but I could be wrong. Some of us may moan about Bishop from time to time but there's no hate. Certainly nowhere near the level of abus that marquis, Smith, Harrison etc got. The news started this bollocks and its so annoying its still going.

I don't know about Palace but I know the novelty has worn off at Brighton, there's always plenty of seats available on the day of the game on their website. I have visited the Amex a few times when visiting friends down that way and behind the goal near the away fans is generally quite sparse. Always empty seats. They are certainly doing better right now but Pompey have always been on par with Sheff Utd in my lifetime. Anyway, sorry for going off topic again.

A rumour started by his agent to see if it generates any real interest from other clubs? Wouldn’t be the first time it’s happened….
