Have to go back to asking "who's your father?"
Actually, it is timely, the story about Paul Wood being ejected from Fratton Park for swearing during the match

On topic. Just watched the England friendly. I like the shirt. Best one for a while. I quickly got used to the cross. It's just a bit of colour on a black and white shirt.

I think in years to come we'll look at the backlash to this as rather embarassing and overblown.

Me and my mates used to go to almost every England game at Wembley. Now, coining the phrase, if they were playing in my back garden, I'd probably close the curtains.
FIFA's ideas on elevating international football's importance have spectacularly misfired, and because of FIFA's enforcement, international breaks are mainly hated as an interruption. You can lead a horse to water but you can't make it drink.

Years ago I was staying in London for a course. There was an underground strike.
I had my car so went to Wembley for a friendly against Paraguay. About 1k fans in the 100,000 capacity old Wembley. The biggest disappointment ever and the only game I watched at Wembley was a nil nil totally pointless let down. Never again.
