I also feel like we probably would have won that game with Lang. Not that Saydee was bad but I think Lang would have found a goal or two. We could do with him back very soon.

The BBC called it a thrilling game at a rocking Fratton Park. A good game but not exactly thrilling, and if that was rocking then most grounds must be complete morgues.

Moxon scored some absolute crackers for Carlisle, now he’s got one for us.

You can see how Derby have dropped so many points. Second half it was mostly pompey as Derby tried to hold on. Such a shame the weather was bad. It suited Derby more than us.

Bearing in mind how many they score from outside the ball, we needed him tracking back and he didn't. Yes, I was not happy with Evans for their 2nd. No doubt he will be informed (much like Anjorin was at the start of the season) that you don't get a free ride in this team. You have to do the defensive work.

Yes, Pack and Evans together in that system against a top side was brave but not ideal defensively. It should have been Moxon starting today. Obviously Evans will be better defensively once he gets his engine back, this was his first game for a long time after all and the quality he possesses was there for all to see. Kamara looked absolutely knackered at the end there and Lane was had a few quieter performances in a row now. We can maybe mix it up a little bit out wide now with Anjorin, Whyte, MPH and Lang.

Good, tough game of football in awful conditions that didn't really suit us, or perhaps Derby coped better.
We had plenty of possession but didn't make the most of it. Shame Lang is injured, think those conditions would have suited him. Both teams can't claim to be either unlucky/lucky, it even out in the end. Well-earned point, two cracking goals, we march on hopefully under better conditions. PUP! |
