That's why there's no Cat's in my area!. Wink Big Grin
Teams have worked out that if you stop the crosses you stop us scoring and if you don't give us time on the ball we crap our pants defensively. Teams know we don't shoot from outside the box so just defend the crosses and you have a chance against us. We don't have a plan b.

So were vack to watching Bishop doing his aimless runs miles away from anybody. Kamara shits himself as soon as he gets in the penalty. I swear if the guy had an open goal he'd still pass back.

And if you think josh Martin is great (he doesn't appear to be) then pick him. Dont just fuck about with pointless late subs. In fact, try using your whole bench - you signed most of 'em! Towler's potential has been allowed to wilt and is such a shame. And chucking on devlin in such a bad game as an inexperienced youngster wasn't the brightest idea too.

Sign some experienced players.
Well, here we go again. Another very disappointing and abject performance against a mid table or lower side. Another pace-less and pedestrian effort, I really expected more at home. That was an embarrassment and not good enough to survive in the championship.

It’s clear we don’t have enough going forward and very frustrating watching the ball continually being played backwards. I’m starting to get fed up watching Bishop going down 9 times out of ten now too. One striker of average height up front does not work if he’s not backed up by pace.

Can’t remember really troubling their keeper any time in the match. This has been pretty similar of our last five games too.
Orient ripped us a new one in the first half and always looked dangerous going forward with pace and purpose. Schoolboy defending from 2 corners and missing a penalty all in the first half is just unacceptable if you’re seriously expecting to be automatic promotion contenders.

I still find it very hard to believe Moushino is adamant about being happy with our 2.5 man strike force. Saddee is not really a Striker, or if he is not a very good one (0 goals so far), Bishop is very capable but is not at his best, and our only other forward is away for a couple of months. Incidentally why did Yengi go to the African cup of nations so early? How can you be happy with 1.5 strikers and expect to stay top of the league.
When you look at the strike forces and pace on offer from the squads of our true promotion rivals, sadly it’s looking very much like playoffs at best, and we all know how that normally end.

We have just under 3 weeks left to try and bring in some experienced quality recruits with pace this window. This is likely to cost proper money, and whilst it doesn’t guarantee anything, if we are to compete and stand any chance of the autos then has to be worth the risk.
Apparently the owners are on the same page and are in full support so fingers crossed we don’t just settle for a couple of youngster that may show some potential like the last few seasons.

Here’s hoping, Play up Pompey!
How often did Orient play it sideways or backwards when they got possession?
How many times did Pompey do just that?

How often did they shift it forward quickly to a nippy striker?
How often did pompey get it forward quickly and run at the defence?

Its a simple game.
we had two experienced wingers on the bench, one spent the entire second half warming up in front of us.
Has Stevenson gone on a world cruise?
I think Yengii joined up with their squad for pre tournament training Dibden
our crossing was dire today, made their keeper look world class today.
We over complicated
they kept it simple
if you run at big defenders with the ball, they do not like it.
Kamara has had a couple of decent games all season that’s it. Today he was awful as he is most games, why have Scully a player we bought not coming on for him. How the hell will he get match fit sat on his arse all game. Mousinho problem for me is, he is too negative. When we play teams down the bottom we should play 3-5-2. Today he changed it second half but we were 0-3 by then. Why does Kamara stay hugging the touchline when Lane has it, he should be bombing into the box to support Bishop who is often the only one in the box. We need at least 2 forward thinking players who know where the net is.

We have got used to it, but it still hurts!

Need some serious business if we are serious.

“Serious business” ? Quality costs and ultimately we will continue to shop in the bargain basement.
Bishop love train incoming....

Bishop is a fantastic player at this level.

The most complete statement!

I bow to you, sir.
Curtis?
Rafferty plays half his passes backwards.
Sadly, not very. A defensive tippy-tappy game plan and another defeat.
He clearly hasn't got a clue what to do next. He only knows 4231 and a defensive game plan.
On another note, Orient have a good forward line. No wonder Pigott can't get a game. They also have a good corner taker.

He keeps getting into position to put a cross in then passes it back and on it goes to Norris.
"We approach it analytically" (Morrell after a so called inquest)
gawd, just what we need.
So some more lovely sideways and backwards passing to look forward to.
Only have 2 players who score in this team. And Colby doesn't do that often without penalties.

Maybe Wrexham away next year!
Never been there.Another ground to tick off.

Walob!
He's lost arguably his best two players!
Bishop looks jaded and bereft of confidence.
This result will truly kick them up the backside or they will slide away through lack of confidence and lack of investment!
It's not rocket science.
In 2003 we were having a major blip at this time and Arry was twitching before going out and getting Steve stone, Tim sherwood and Uakubu. Off we went again.
Teams intent need to have that invested into them to freshen it up and relieve the pressure.
JM has done brilliantly and now must protect his charges and accept the flak, holding his hands up. But more importantly we must have new players to take us on to the championship
Not just numbers. What we get over two weeks will be a signal of intent, one way or another.
We are top albeit only until Posh and Bolton play again. We can come again but only with Michael Eisner releasing the purse strings.
It is that simple.
So please stop with the knee jerk 'sack the manager' BS. He's been brilliant so far.

Agree with most of your post Yak. Yes we need more investment in good quality players with the current squad bucking up their game but JM has been tactically inept against the lower teams & not been prepared to change formations, selections to enable break well marshalled defences down. Performances have been down for quite a few games so the manager's position has to be questioned along with the other factors.
his ability to match the team set up to the players available has to be the big question. as you say, especially against the lesser teams.
What we need to do against Bolton is not what is needed against a team that parks the bus, or even Stevenage.
All gone to pot since Poole got injured . Look shaky at the back now when
It was so solid and secure . The players on the bench are not up to standard and it shows how poor the squad is . Going to get swallowed up in play offs now
Rafferty is becoming a massive disappointment but we don’t have any cover for him. Everywhere you look this squad is threadbare. Only one striker and that’s bishop who I think has scored one goal from open play in 2 months? Where was his hand to ears gesture when he passed the penalty to the goalkeeper?
About building a squad who can win the playoffs now.

January recruits very important.

Top 2 has gone.
I’ve read some really ridiculous comments on here over the years but calling for JM to be replaced when we’re still top of the league ( albeit in a blip), is quite possibly the top of the pile. We really do have some fucking dins on this site.

Its not a blip it's a complete collapse.

You don't even go to games so can't comment accurately son.
It seems Titchy knows his stuff although we have time to sort this out. Today was very depressing. Lately it seems to me that Shocker is not playing well and Norris is too static. Two goals from corners is unforgivable especially when Pack, Shockers, Raggers and Bishop are all pretty ginormous. Morrell jumps like a fish and actually wins quite a lot of headers, perhaps he can show Bishop how to do it. Was there anybody on the near post for those corners?
