Fair enough if youngsters were starting to pay tax in at the same age that we did. And we do tend to live longer, although apparently that steady rise has halted and even gone into reverse. For all, there should be a set, pay in number of years to then get your pension. So if you go to university into your thirties and only start work at that stage, your retirement age should be later. Usually those who start later also expect to retire earlier.

You have to pay in 35 years of full National Insurance contribution to get a full state pension at 66. It used to be 30 years so will probably jump to 40 pretty soon.

Just renewed!

Personally I think a lot of football followers think we're bunch of mugs....first week in June with going on 6,000 renewals and even new applications is nothing short of astonishing
Of course, they maybe right, after all it's quite a reasonable assertion based on what we've experienced for the best part of fifteen years, especially the last six years. As a lifelong fan I look at it a little more differently. Like just about everyone else I have major issues withe way the club is run but 's all about loyalty, commitment and just how important this football club is to the area...just shame that we have to prove that time and time again and I don't expect that next year will be any different!!

Off to get my BC ticket this morning.

I will renew for myself and grandson this week.
I think it's the thought that the first season you don't renew, then its the season we smash the league!

Are fans aware that we have the most expensive adult season ticket prices in the whole of league one?
08-06-2023, 02:31 PM
Our most expensive adult ticket in the center of the NS or SS might be but the FE isnt.

Working til 67, having started at 16 as compared to being "encouraged" to stay in university and not even have a part time job then go travelling. Stack up some debt. Don't pay any tax til getting on for 30. So the oldies are pushed back to work by the govt to keep the tax pounds coming in.

Anyone else not remotely pissed off that we have the 6th most expensive adult season ticket price in the whole of the EFL?!

I’d actually be pissed off if we were the 6th cheapest. Down to management as to whether we’ll be worth the price or not. Top league one and I doubt you’ll be squinnying then. Bottom, you’ll have every right to question.

£464 seems a lot given where we are as a club.

I would have thought if people didn’t want to pay £464 they would take the opportunity to pay less in the early bird. £20 a ticket even at the full ST price is more than reasonable. How much is a game at H&W? More than £15 I would guess.

Just by way of comparison.
I just compared prices at POSH. Their adult early bird price - which expired on 30th April ( very Early bird ! ) - was £479. The standard adult price now is £529. So, looking at that, I was happy to renew at our early bird prices.

Yeah fair enough gents.
God I hope we have a better season.
