Is Raggett really Denmarks No 3
Is Kenny Jackett managing this shitshow? 1 nil, up drawbridge, concede, far too deep, flat footed dog shit

I suppose boring everyone to death is one way of playing but not a very successful one yet.

Just came on here to have a look and I can't tell you how much I agree.
Southgate is like Kenny Jackett. Nice man but crap as a manager. So fecking boring! We have brilliant players and he somehow makes them look fecking shit.

Well I'm glad I'm not going to see any live England games next week. Romania v Slovakia & Group2A v Group 2B is going to be far more entertaining.
p s. If anyone is interested there are still tickets available for England v Slovenia next week at c€200 each - personally wouldn't pay 200 cents for one !!

Wow. 200? Shocking.

Having grown up with England never getting to any tournaments, I'll settle for qualifying from the usually boring group stage and going for proper cup games.

We are the worst coached team in the tournament, simple as that. There are also a lot of players suddenly realising that their vastly inflated Premier League wage packet doesn't automatically turn then into a world beater.

Found out when playing in then Champions League. Unlike when we won Europe year in year out long before the prem was invented.

All this tippy tappy play out from the back bollix. Spain played it old school against Italy and there was more excitement and football played in 20 mins than the 2 England games combined. Viva España

A live tournament is not the time for experiments.
Leggy performances like last night demonstrate a conditioning problem across the team. That is rank bad management.

Out of interest does anyone still think Harry Kane is still world class ?

I think he could be again it GS took the captaincy away from him.
IMO that's why he tracks back so often, to help his troops (so to speak.) Give it to Stones maybe. I prefer the captain to be at the back., Just like The brilliant Bobby Moore. ![]()

Things starting to get out now that the squad are unhappy with the strategy. I can see us drawing the next one and then getting put out by the Germans.

The roof being closed, the high humidity & soggy pitch didn't affect the Danes. The players knew what the pitch & conditions in the stadium were like after the warm up. The "non-performance" was all totally down to Southgate, his chosen line up & terrible tactics.

Well, looks like our ticket allocation hasn't worked out too badly. On Wednesday we're at Romania v Slovakia in Frankfurt - with all teams in that group having 3 points it is all to play for. On Saturday in Berlin 2A v 2B it looks like it could be Italy v Switzerland or faint possibly the Sweaties.

The tell tale sign is that - win, lose or draw - you end up feeling like you've lost. There can't be many go-to moments on youtube when searching for England games. Southgate's hide the fact that 90 per cent of England games are against teams that are there for the taking - Macedonia, Estonia, Umbungo Land etc etc and most of the time the mind numbing boring tactic works. Then we meet a team that's actually good and we get done. The worse thing we have a decade of Germany, Italy, Brazil, Spain, Holland and Portugal being on various occasions beatable. We have changed a jot during that time whilst they have learned their lessons. Missed the boat is the phrase i'm looking for. The only thing is that I still can't think of an available replacement.
My sentiments exactly, well said.
I know he will always be a Judas to some on here but I do wonder what Redknapp would have done with our shower if he got hold of them instead of Allardyce. No one has excited me in the top job since El Tel but Harry at that time would have. The bookies fancy Eddie Howe as the next England manager but I don't really know what he stands for. We should have three stars on our shirt by now. |
