Just proved that.

Sack Southgate tonight, get Klopp in first thing in the morning, with 4 days to prepare.

Whatever you do, don’t criticise the team or Kane won’t like it.
25-06-2024, 09:15 PM
top of the table, avoided the best teams. We go again.

So considering Denmark and Slovenia were equal on everything including disciplinary record, which one of the two are going through?
25-06-2024, 09:33 PM
Another famous result against England by another nowhere nation. How can Southgate say that was better?!
25-06-2024, 09:35 PM
Looks like it’s Denmark on how they were ranked after qualifying

Yet again, that was dogshit.

A great day, the diagonal ball.
I also remember Tel skipped off about 15 minutes before the end , no doubt heading south to his club in London.

Where is the pace in the team? Looking at this, does Harry Kane's goals record this year suggest that the Bundesliga, in general, might be a bit second rate? Both our goals and Kane's header saved onto the bar in the first game, came from right footed players crossing from the right. And yet we play with left footers on the right and right footers on the left. Errr?

Too much panicking going on IMO.
We've won our group, are unbeaten, are in the easiest half of the draw and havent even started playing as well as we can yet.

I see Foden has come home for birth of child so that might put an end to the Foden/Bellingham conundrum for next game.
26-06-2024, 06:36 PM
Foden's third child!? I thought he was still 12

Rooney lecturing Bellingham about his composure and the risk of getting a silly red, could not make it up FFS https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/art...rr5jj1vyyo

With Georgia beating Portugal so we play Slovakia instead of the Netherlands is any one else getting that feeling of 'things going our way' that we felt when results of other games involving Bolton & Barnsley went our way unexpectedly at the end of last season ?
I can see us scraping past Slovakia and then starting to play properly in the quarters.

No. The obvious flaw in your argument is that we are playing awful football and we have Southgate for a manager. If I were someone who placed bets against my team I might consider a few bob on Slovakia.

We are indeed playing awful football, but Southgate has been the most succcessful tournament manager we have had since Alf Ramsay.

A path has opened up, we have the team to do it, but we have Southgate as manager and he hasn't got a fucking clue.
It's like the footballing gods WANT us to win a tournament, how many times have we had lucky paths in the last few years? The Beeb commentators telling it as it is speaks volumes. Until now they've been at the centre of ex-footballers being positive and patient towards the England team. There is no hiding place for Southgate here and to be honest that's been the case since before this tournament when we got absolutely arseholed at Molineux.

Well it is 100% that the football is awful - Southgate has never won anything as s manager & little more as a player to me that speaks volumes. .As I said before as an Junior Scumner Southgate is inflicted with a Scum mentality of just existing.

But the fact remains he has taken us to a World Cup Semi-Final and a Euros final lost only on penalties. And his team is good enough to be pre-tournament favourite for these Euros. That far exceeds every manager we've had since Ramsey and however badly he has done so far this time we are still in with a decent chance if things improve . |
