APPLETON did a great job at Lincoln taking the team to the play off final(beaten by blackpool) and all that done on a bag of tapwashers...lincoln were skint.
He played the best brand of passing football i have seen for years and this was done with players who couldn`t trap a bag of cement...he had no choice or budget.
Contacts are still in  his book and he has links into Man city(lewis fiorinimorgan rogers) and picked up brennan johnson from forest plus brooke norton cuffy from ARSENAL(A SERIOUS TALENT).......david kerslake his sidekick.

Went out the door at Lincoln due to the wanky set up with the Dof ,JEZ GEORGE......sending the manager lads who he had scouted bit were not good enough and only ready for the scrapheap.

APPLETON has had a cancer scare (sorted)and his missus is northern based so might be difficult to persuade to go south......again.

With the kack currently lined up for the pompey job at the moment APPLETON IS CERTAINLY WORTH CONSIDERATION and he would unload the dross out of the squad in an instant.........only wants technical players not carthorses......see you Ragget?

What about his time at Blackpool x 2 and Blackburn?
Appleton took the original blackpool job and the gig at blackburn both without doing due diligence on the owners, the venkys and the Oystons ,BOTH HEADCASE OWNERS.(UNDER THE Venkys blackburn had 5 managers over the period 2012/13....enough said about Oystons.

In the current situation Blackpool are shooting above their weight in the Champ and any promoted side from division one will have a hard task retaining their position expecially without any funds.....owners are smoking dope if they think they can retain their position in the Champ on fresh air ,in a division of big clubs willing to go into debt to the tune of 50 million plus trying to get to the holy grail.

Just bad luck then huh……
ALEX FERGUSON put Appleton right on taking contracts with owners who are wankers, you are just shooting yourself in the foot the day you take the job.

Michael Appleton got Sir Alex Ferguson hairdryer treatment after 65-day Blackpool stint - Mirror Online
He must be fucking thick as shit as he then went to Blackburn lol.

Think we best steer clear.

Manning did a decent job getting Mk to play offs but key players were sold and it all went into the brown stuff.

Not enough experience for fratton park,he would get eaten alive and spend most of his time hiding in the toilet.

Think they are rummaging through some old drawers trying to find Richie Barker or Paul Hart’s contact details !
Suspended AGAIN.
Not for long back up again
Apparently, Mark Warburton has emerged as the new favourite. Nah, just made that up, getting bored with it.

At least we'd be OK for crumpet(s) - ok I'll get me hat !!
Rumours are that it is Kevin Nolan

There’s rumors it’s about 10 different people.

Just nobs wanting attention.
The are so many people who think they are in the Know. Our own BlueArmy insisted it was going to be McCann and there was numerous people who claimed Foster would be announced yesterday. Clearly no one really knows who it is/when it will be announced
So G100, you said final interviews were happening on Tuesday. Did you know that for sure or were you just speculating?

It was reported by Neil Allen who said the club told him.

Haven’t seen anything to suggest that changed.

The pre-game presser is going ahead at 2.30pm today.
Did anyone have money on Oxford United’s reserve centre back being our next coach (coach driver?). John Mousinho anyone?

Can you imagine the scenes if he is announced!
John Mousinho now being reported by Neil Allan as being on the shortlist.
He's still a player! PMSL

It’s a hard one to believe but he may have been interviewed.
Player managers were all the rage once upon a time .. but seriously??
God help us if true.
Goes to show what a load of bollocks these bookies lists are!
Bookies laughing at this.
Almost as loudly as the scummers will be.
